16 April 2009 - 8:13pm - adminDelta Force Paintball in Hemel Hempstead (also known as 'Oakwood') is located in the stunning Hertfordshire hills, and provides the perfect backdrop for a full day of paintball action. Situated on the site of a vast abandoned WW2 American Airforce base - it has unlimited car parking on the Heathrow-sized main runway, and incorporates much of the old airbase's surviving infrastructure into it's base camp and game zones. With the latest paintball equipment the UK has to offer, players are set for an adrenaline-fuelled day of paintball action. Offering 7 varied game zones, including the crashed Black Hawk helicopter, Oakwood’s scenarios are the perfect challenge for players of all abilities. Please note for anyone seeking to play paintball in North London, paintball in Hertfordshire, or paintball in Buckinghamshire - Delta Force Paintball Hemel Hempstead is your most convenient choice.

By car:
Exit the M25 at Junction 20. Follow the A41, signposted Aylesbury, Hemel Hempstead (a very fast dual-carriageway through the countryside) for approximately 5 miles. Take the exit signposted Bourne End Mills Industrial Estate Services (not the Bourne End exit). After 50 metres turn left onto Upper Bourne End Lane (this is a dead-end road leading to Runway Farm, up on the old WWII USAF bomber base). After 900 metres pass through a set of iron gates, and onto a concrete hard standing. Turn right through a set of blue gates onto a very wide concrete road. Continue on this road for 300 metres and then turn right onto the main runway. Please park in the designated spaces.
By train:
Mainline British Rail. London Euston to Hemel Hempstead. The site is not within walking distance - please take an inexpensive taxi (2 miles).
